Q: Are bigger effect sizes always better?

A: Not always. Some large effect sizes are a result of a long-term intervention requiring significant resources. Whereas some of the lower effect sizes came from minimal input (for example, many of the low effect sizes connected with growth mindset come from a 50mins online intervention). As always, an effect size should not be taken in isolation; they should be treated as an invitation to find out more. Read more in Section 1.7 of Teach Brilliantly.
